Being unable to use YM is killing me! T_T

 

I feel so... so... DISCONNECTED from the people back home! And I hate it 1.) because it's making me sad; 2.) I'd feel more lost when I get back; and 3.) it's like getting a glimpse of what it would be like if I actually moved here.

It's not that bad actually... but Philippines will always be home to me. Nothing like being with Kababayans (ahahha! sige lang, gamitin ang english grammar sa tagalog. xp) and people I could be myself with. Ang gusto ko dito, ang dami mong mabibili. As in, you can find everything for anything. If you think Philippines is getting more and more commercialized, well it's just a fraction when compared to how highly commercialized this place is.

But take note: I'm talking about California. I can't say the same thing for the other states seeing as I haven't been to other states before.

 

Ahahha! and I guess when we talk about looks, I feel more at home here because I totally blend in. :p I have no problem with shoes and clothing, if you know what I mean. ;D And I'm totally at home with the spring weather. Though, I dread the dry heat during summer because, from experience, I'd rather experience the hot, humid heat back home. =/

And store people here are waaaay friendlier, or at least, they give more effort to appear more friendly. Cheerful greetings and thoughtful offers of help are what they give instead of the scripted lines they give us back home.

Like the other day, we were at sketchers buying shoes, and I must've had a total of 5 times being asked if everything was okay. Thrice was from one guy who kept coming back saying that if I needed help, I could just give 'em a call, one was from a lady who was passing by and seemed to think that I had trouble with my shoes, and one was from another guy who looked like the first guy 'cept for the earring... maybe they're twins? or maybe it's the foreigners-looking-alike syndrome -- I couldn't tell them apart. xp

 

Some people still mistake me as a Latina. In the Exploration Park, when I was exploring by myself, some group of friends tried to talk to me in Spanish or Mexican, or whatever. and I just smiled, shook my head, and said "I'm sorry, I don't understand. Can you please speak English?" One of them continued to talk to me in Spanish (or Mexican), and he was sort of asking me something. But I was kinda suspicious because it didn't seem like they were asking me for directions. >.< So, I just said, "I'm sorry, I really don't understand you, maybe you could ask someone else." and I walked away and went up the 3rd floor and before I went down, I made sure they weren't following (because you never know!). *whew*

Those were some crazy mexicans. =/ I dunno if my English was that bad that they didn't understand it, or they thought I was kidding when I said I didn't understand them. I prefer to think it's the latter because I don't think my English was that bad. As proof, I have some who tell me how surprised they are at how I speak English without as heavy an accent they hear from other Filipinos. Someone even said I don't have an accent. (Hahaha! Sa isip-isip ko, malaki ang tulong ng maarteng mag-english. ;p)

Ah well, buti pa sa Manila, kahit san magpunta, maiintindihan ko ang salita ng mga tao. :p

I'm pretty excited because it's another place added to my list of countries visited. *grin*

Though I don't really have any idea what we would see there, I'm still looking forward to it. South-East Asia's a wonderful place to go around visiting and so far, I've only been to the following places:

Hongkong
Singapore
Bali, Indonesia
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

and for a plane transfer, Taipei, Taiwan but I don't think this counts cuz it's not like I got to go around.


So anyhoo, I'm just glad Vietnam gets to be added on the list. :D

A 3-day vacation for dad's birthday with my grandparents on his side and my brother and twin. yeah!!

Oh yeah! I also get to bring a couple of friends sa potpot. :D

I've had a pretty long sem break which left me feeling like a grade-A bum. ~_~

Having said so, I'd like to take time to write down things I've done since Oct. 9 - the last day of classes.

Oct. 10 (Tue) - went to UP for Kas1 and then later on to the Gym to practice for Finals in Social Dance.

Oct. 12 (Thur) - went to UP in the morning for the last class in German. We ended up having Sir Buccat sing instead and take pictures. Had lunch with Rejoice then in the afternoon, isawan galore with former Eng10 classmates. Picture galore too.

Oct. 13 (Fri) - Finals in PE. Hung out with Rejoice and JP.

Oct. 16 (Mon) - Went to school to get paper in Eng10. Hung out with Rejoice and went to her house for the first time. Girl's day out with Patdam got cancelled :(

Oct. 17 (Tue) - Went to school for Finals in German. :D Afterwards Kuya and I went to SM.

Oct. 20 (Fri) - Went to school to pick up books from Ms. Lorie. Met up with Ate Kit, Ate Dani, and Kuya Ron. We hung out for a while then went to McDo Carpark and QueSci. We took pictures! :D Then later in the evening, when picking Dad up at PRC, I was asked to sing for them at their party. -_-

Oct. 21 (Sat) - Tito Popsie's daughter's baptism. Didn't go though. I was depressed and everything.

Oct. 22 (Sun) - Sang mass at Northview II. Adopted Jerrick for the day. We hung out and played cards.

Oct. 24 (Tue) - Whole Day practice with the Choir

Oct. 25 (Wed) - Kuya Leonard came over to practice for Ate Dani's debut.

Oct. 28 (Sat) - Met up with Ate Kit in the morning to buy Ate Dani's gift. In the aftenoon, went to Celeb to practice for the night. Spent the rest of the evening (after singing of course) enjoying the show (good food).

Oct. 29 (Sun) - Kuya's birthday! Ate Kit,  Kuya Leonard, and Kuya Bry came here at home. ATe Kit and I fixed the box for Ate Dani. Kuya OA and Kuya Jett followed later in the afternoon. Kuya Leonard and I practiced for that night. Then in the evening we went to Ate Dani's debut! :D

Oct. 31 (Tue) - Met up with Ate Kit at the mall. Saw Ate Abi. Kuya Jer and Kuya Leonard were there too. Basically we just hung out. :) We ate at Cerealicious.

Nov. 1 (Wed) - sung at mass in the morning. Hung out with Ingrid, Patdam, Paolo and Harley at the clubhouse. Harley ate lunch with us at home, then around 2:00 we went to Patdam's to watch some horror flicks. Unfortunately, Tito Popsie wasn't home so we couldn't borrow DVD's from him so we ended up just playing RE2 instead. Then we tried our hand in cooking. We made omelette and onion rings! :D We left around 8:30.

Nov. 2 (Thurs) - Today we're supposed to have our hair fixed. Don't know what'll happen though...

 

And I've got 3 days left of sem break!! @_@ I really want to make the most out of it.

I have yet to spend a night at Rejoice's to do a marathon. -_-;

Grrr. But oh well. My sem break wasn't much but I'm happy. haha. tumataba na naman ako. hahahaha. :p

Sana talaga hindi magbago yung sched ko. happy na ko dun. :D
