Blog EntryI came through!!!!Oct 22, '07 11:21 AM
for everyone

YES people, Ericka Jane came through it! woooot! ^.^

You see, we had our first ever Kilyawan Girls + Boys performance tonight. And guess what?

I felt the symptoms of my sickness last friday night, when it hurt me to swallow -- and I had no idea how it came to be! So I drank lots of water in hopes of making it go away. But alas, it was worse when saturday came. My throat was drying up and I couldn't sing well. T_T

Then I went to Em's despedida where I really planned to be the first to sleep, but yeah. If you know me, alam niyong hindi ko magagawa yun. XD hahahaha. Kame nga ni Rejoice yung pinakamatibay dun!! past 5 na natulog!!! woot! Then by 8am we were eating pancit and by 9, pancakes. hahahaha. Siyempre bangag-bangag kame.

(heeeheehee!! It's okay though!! Sean Faris was well worth it!!! OMG, grabeee!!! kinikilig pa rin ako sa kanyaaaaa!!!!!! He's just drop-dead-gorgeous! ♥♥♥  *DROOOOOOL* hahahaha!)

Well anyway, I got home at around 10am, I slept until I woke up at 2pm to go to SM to do some canvasing for our kgc costume. Got to meet with Ina and Francis at past 5pm though, then after Kultura, we went around dblock and then ate dinner at KFC. xD  (It was fun bonding with you guys kahit na kinukulit niyo ko to tell something I don't wanna tell. xD)

Needless to say, by this time, I was feeling rather stuffy and reaaaally bad. Nakaubos na ako ng isang roll of tissue. I was sneezing and sniffing the whoooole time. (actually nung saturday night pa lang)

It was apparent in my voice how sick I was. Nangongongo ako. hahahaha.

So yeah, natakot talaga ako today!!

And then came the practice. Grabe!!!! HINDI KO MA-HIT YUNG NOOOOOTE!

I was supposed to hit a C#3(?) basta yung C# after ng high C.

And I couldn't even hit a Bb! T_T

And that was when Sir Mark was there. haaay. nakakahiya talaga.

Lucky for me though tinulungan ako ni kuya leonard at ni kuya arman. *whew* I was able to hit the note. yeaaay.

The performance itself was cool. Hehehe. I suppose I didn't do too bad on the high note, though I know I could've done better. =/ Ma'am said we turned heads, so that was cool. :D

and I hit the noooote! Congratulate me!

*whew*

I'm glad my voice comes through for me when I need it. xD

Blog EntryAng CRS nga naman + my Adventure!Oct 9, '07 9:29 AM
for everyone

Out of the 27.0 units binigyan ako ng 9 units at in conflict pa yung dalawang subjects dun. Kamusta naman?

But I'm not complaining. May 2nd round pa naman -- no sense in panicking, right?

:D Right.

===========

I had an adventure today!

Earlier this morning, Ms. Hazel texted us about a(n impromptu) photoshoot today and we could come anytime from 10-5. Even before the text, I already had a problem regarding my ride back home. Kuya's exam is from 4-6. I was going to school to drop off some papers and I'm done. So what do I do during the next hour and a half? The library closes at 5 and I wasn't inclined to stay at the cafeteria (lest I want to add extra pounds I already worked hard to lose!).

So it was really good that I had something else I could do while waiting for kuya, and that is to go to claret and have my photo taken! :D Ayos, feeling star pa naman ako ngayon ---> hinahanap-hanap at namimiss ang mga nangyaring photoshoot and pagpapamper sa akin nung debut ko. hahahahahahaha. :p

But there was a problem: walang maghahatid sa akin. So I had no choice but to commute from UP to Claret. I was hoping some of my friends would be at UP para at least masamahan ako hanggang philcoa but it was not be. I was to do this all on my own.

And so, with a brave heart, I ventured out of my comfort zone and rode a jeep to philcoa! :D the ride was okay, albeit very tight. (pinagpipilitan nung manong na pagkasyahin kameng lahat dun -- I literally felt like a sardine -- nasa dulo pa naman ako >.< I felt like I could pop out accidentally from the jeep anytime. 8-}) What made it all the better was when I got on the jeep, my Korean Exchange Student classmate was on it too, and she recognized me. Yaaaay. :D So we talked until she had to get down at IC. (awwww. bye-bye Tammy!)

So then, I was alone. Hm... kaya ako natatakot kasi, Philcoa yun eh. It's a very busy place -- daming nangyayari dun na hindi kanais-nais. But then I thought, madali lang naman makasakay ng trike dun. Pagbaba ko, andun na ko sa may trike. But nooooooo. The jeep just had to let us down at Jollibee! T_T So I had to walk all the way to the corner where the tricycles are. (It was reaaally scary kasi ang daming jeep and buses na dumarating. T_T I was afraid mananakawan pa ako or something. -_-;; ) But I made it to the trikes. And yaaaaay. Ayun, the next thing I know, I was at claret na.

All the while, I wasn't sure if I should've gone there kasi I received a text from Ina that the photographer left. By then I'd be having this adventure for nothing. But I thought, it's okay because I have the pieces with me, so this would all be at least worth something. BUT again, NOOOOO. 8-} Naiwan ko pala yung mga piyesa. >.> Talk about doing it all for nothing.

hahahaha! :D

Pero hindi rin! Adventure yun! At least now, I know kahit walang maghahatid sa akin, kaya kong makapunta dun. :p Part na siya ng comfort zone ko. yeaaaay. :D Ayos diba? ^__^

And okie lang din kasi nakakwentuhan ko naman sina ma'am (, kuya leonard, and kuya arman). Napanood ko pa yung mga teachers sa claret magpractice nung sayaw nila at nakakatuwa silang panoorin! Hahahahah! hindi sila magkaintindihan for the most part. XD

Well, there goes my adventure. ^_^ I resolve to have new adventures every other day para exciting ang life. :D

ReviewReviewReviewReviewReviewTrio WandererMay 11, '07 4:52 AM
for everyone
Category:Music
Genre: Classical
Artist:French pianist, celliost, and violinist
Last night we (a couple of friends and I) watched one of the most amazing performances I have seen yet.

Trio Wanderer (Vincent Coq - Piano, Raphael Pidoux - Cellio, Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabedian - Violin) gave us a performance to remember. I only wish I could watch them again.

Each of them showed mastery over their instrument. They were, indeed, the Trio Wanderer who took their audience on a journey with their music and gave them a whirlpool of emotions. Grabe. I don't know what I'm saying anymore kasi it's that great. Suuuuper!

Here is the program:

Debussy, Sonatas in D Minor for Cello and Piano
Prologue
Serenade
Finale

Messiaen, Theme and Variations for Piano and Violin

Turina, Trio Circulo Op. 91

(intermission)

Saint Saens, Trio Op, 92 No. 2 in E Minor
Allegretto non troppo
Allegretto
Andante con moto
Gracioso poco allegro
Allegro

and an encore for which title I failed to catch.

As Pidoux and Coq played the initial performance of the night, I was once again reminded why I love string instruments. Cellos have this deep, full sound -- perfect for dramatic pieces. It gave me goosebumps.

Violins, on the other hand, I've always just loved. I loved them ever since I can remember. If it wouldn't sound ridiculous, I would even say that I loved them even before I can remember.

Ahaha. nakakatuwa, dun sa Turina, yung sort of second movement nila dun, naputol ung string ni Phillips-Varjabedian, yung violinist. Ahaha! The people laughed good-naturedly and while he changed his string, he told us that it was proof that they're the real thing and not just synching with a recorded piece. xD

After the show, as we were waiting for manong, nakita namin silang lumabas! :D And so nakapagpapicture kame ni kuya ron!! kaya lang kay Pidoux lang and Phillips-Varjabedian. Wala yung si Coq (sabi ni kuya ron, dinadala pa daw niya yung piano.nyahahaha! )

Ayun. Indeed, it's a night to remember. ^o^
