for everyone
Category:Music
Genre: Classical
Artist:French pianist, celliost, and violinist
Last night we (a couple of friends and I) watched one of the most amazing performances I have seen yet.

Trio Wanderer (Vincent Coq - Piano, Raphael Pidoux - Cellio, Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabedian - Violin) gave us a performance to remember. I only wish I could watch them again.

Each of them showed mastery over their instrument. They were, indeed, the Trio Wanderer who took their audience on a journey with their music and gave them a whirlpool of emotions. Grabe. I don't know what I'm saying anymore kasi it's that great. Suuuuper!

Here is the program:

Debussy, Sonatas in D Minor for Cello and Piano
Prologue
Serenade
Finale

Messiaen, Theme and Variations for Piano and Violin

Turina, Trio Circulo Op. 91

(intermission)

Saint Saens, Trio Op, 92 No. 2 in E Minor
Allegretto non troppo
Allegretto
Andante con moto
Gracioso poco allegro
Allegro

and an encore for which title I failed to catch.

As Pidoux and Coq played the initial performance of the night, I was once again reminded why I love string instruments. Cellos have this deep, full sound -- perfect for dramatic pieces. It gave me goosebumps.

Violins, on the other hand, I've always just loved. I loved them ever since I can remember. If it wouldn't sound ridiculous, I would even say that I loved them even before I can remember.

Ahaha. nakakatuwa, dun sa Turina, yung sort of second movement nila dun, naputol ung string ni Phillips-Varjabedian, yung violinist. Ahaha! The people laughed good-naturedly and while he changed his string, he told us that it was proof that they're the real thing and not just synching with a recorded piece. xD

After the show, as we were waiting for manong, nakita namin silang lumabas! :D And so nakapagpapicture kame ni kuya ron!! kaya lang kay Pidoux lang and Phillips-Varjabedian. Wala yung si Coq (sabi ni kuya ron, dinadala pa daw niya yung piano.nyahahaha! )

Ayun. Indeed, it's a night to remember. ^o^
