for everyone
Mela blogged about this (http://caramelamela.multiply.com/journal/item/91/Ano_to) some time ago and I reacted quite negatively (siyempre).

Pero iba pala pag nakita talaga yung ad.OMG.

What the effin' hell is that doin' there?!

Okay, I understand perfectly well that a lot of ummm... Filipina (especially those from the provinces (no offense meant. This is purely from observation) women dream of marrying an American man (because let's face it, a lot of them do fall for the "exotic" types) to be able to live a better, hence "dream", life in the USA.

But come ON!!!! To advertise it so blatantly in a social network such as Multiply?

Oh God, I want to puke. T_T

They might as well let the Americans trample on their dignity. arrrgh.

There's nothing wrong with marrying an American, that's not my issue here. My issue here is the advertisement itself.

To quote Mela:

Ano ba namang ibenta ang sarili sa mga Amerikano? Grabe. Hindi ko na talaga maintindihan ang mentalidad ng mga Pilipino ngayon.

-_-; Ako rin friend, ako rin.

So it's all for money. I don't for whom it's worse -- the Filipina who marry for money, or the American whom the Filipina marries only for money. =/

hahaha!

it depends. i think the two should be happy right? it's a trade off. the guy wants a companion and he has the money. the girl wants the money and she can be a companion.
